Randy Fleetwood

Randy Ray Fleetwood, 57 year old Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born September 27, 1958 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Fred Fleetwood and Ratha Melissa (Stephens) Fleetwood. Randy grew up in the Maud area where he graduated from Maud High School in 1976.  He went on to further his education attending various technology schools.  Randy earned his certificates in law enforcement training, emergency medical services, EMS certification, and waste water technical school. Randy had worked for Bodkin Furniture Store in Maud, the City of Maud, the Maud Police Department, and the Maud Water Dept. He retired from the Maud Volunteer Fire Department. Most recently he had worked for the Dollar Store in Wewoka, Konawa and Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.  He had also worked for the EZ-Mart in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Randy is survived by two sons, Douglas Fleetwood and his wife Chrystle of Maud, Oklahoma, Scott Fleetwood and his wife LeAnn of San Antonio, Texas, his former wife and the mother of his children, Susan Glover of Maud, Oklahoma, four sisters, Erma Guinn and her husband Van of Maud, Oklahoma, Fern Turnbow of Konawa, Oklahoma, Loretta Jennings and her husband James “Butch” of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cleta Crawford and her husband Mike of Seminole, Oklahoma.  One brother-in-law, Jay Flesher of Lindsey, Oklahoma. Five grandchildren, McKala Williams, Scotty “S.J.” Fleetwood, Leland Fleetwood, Benjamin Long, and Nathaniel Long.  Randy is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Fred Fleetwood, by his mother, Ratha Fleetwood, by two sisters, Rozell Flesher and Donna Prescott, by one infant brother, Fred Fleetwood Jr., two nephews, Mark Guinn and Randy Prescott, by one niece, Paula Turnbow, and by one great-niece, Misty Dawn Hudson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma with Pastor Butch Bradley officiating the service. Viewing will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home 1001 N. Milt Phillips Ave. in Seminole, Oklahoma through Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Then Viewing will be held at Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home located at 110 N. Broadway in Maud, Oklahoma starting Wednesday, June 8, 2016 until the service on Friday. Casket Bearers will be: Doug Fleetwood, Scott Fleetwood, Waylan Hooker, Mike Crawford, and Aaron Crawford. Honorary Bearers will be: Benjamin Long, Nathaniel Long, Jason Jennings, and Marty Guinn.
