William “Ralph” Dorrough, 74 year-old, longtime Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident passed from this life May 9, 2010 at his home in Saint Louis. He was born October 21, 1935 in Paris, Arkansas to parents Rasmas Ray Dorrough and Cornelia Claudette (Rogers) Dorrough. Ralph married Dixie Arlene Eastwood on July 1, 1967 at the Wilmont Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ralph owned and operated the Saint Louis Auto Salvage until his retirement in 1981. He was of the Christian faith and he also enjoyed country gospel music; John Wayne; Hank Williams and playing the guitar. Ralph is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Dixie Arlene (Eastwood) Dorrough of the home; six brothers, Dwain Pitts and Jerry Dorrough of Saint Louis, Oklahoma, Jake Dorrough of Wolf, Oklahoma, Steve Pitts of Maud, Oklahoma, Danny Dorrough and Kenny Dorrough both of Abilene, Texas; three sisters, Genevive Dorrough, Cathy Dorrough and Linda Dorrough all of Abilene, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews including two special nephews who were like sons to Ralph, Jimmy Jack Dorrough of Kinppa, Texas and William Ray “Will” Dorrough of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; and many other family and dear friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Saint Louis, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Ishmael Webb and Pastor Glenn Peck will officiate the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma.
