Rachel Goate-Williams

Rachael Ena (Goate) Williams,64   Rachael Ena (Goate) Williams former Seminole county resident passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Fort Worth, Texas.   Rachael was born on March 9, 1948 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to parents, John Jefferson Goate and Ethelena Hannah (Fish) Goate.   Rachael of the Muskogee Creek, the great granddaughter of Chief Samuel Checote, of the Creek Nation. She was an elder of the United Tribes for Christ Fellowship and the Overcomer faith. Rachael was employed with the HIS at the Wewoka Clinic as a clerk for the OEH program and she also worked in a variety of other jobs and did much volunteer work for various Christian events.   Rachael is survived by two sons Roman Goate of Nashville, Tennessee and Mitchell Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One brother Alfred Goate and his wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Alice McLaughlin Lott and her husband Rick of Louisiana and Lydia Harrison and her husband Larry of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by  three grandchildren, Jacob Roller of Marlow, Oklahoma, Deacon Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Zachery Cruse of Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.   Rachael was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Lorraine Munoz and Margaret Chuculate, brother-in-law, Donnie McLaughlin, Niece, Gabriella Johnson and grand niece, Michella Crow and nephew, Benjamin Crow.   Services were held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Moderator was Larry Harrison, Obituary was shared by Alfred Goate and officiating was Curtis Munoz. Burial was at Little Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma.   Serving as casket bearers are: Curtis Munoz, Phillip Harrison, Martin Goate, Aaron McLaughlin, Chico Davis and Bryce McLaughlin. Honorary bearers: Austin McLaughlin, Eric Martinez, Rily Munoz, Jalon Williams, Joshua Patterson and Clay McLaughlin.     A wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.   Funeral services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
