Prebble “Mozelle” (Mayfield) Duncan, age 88 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at OU Medical Center in Edmond. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 19th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Spencer Duncan will officiate. Pallbearers are Barry Duncan, Mickey Duncan, Spencer Duncan, Tyler Duncan, and Ryan McGann. Honorary pallbearers are Troy Duncan, Bradley Duncan, Justin Duncan, Payden McGann and Colin McGann. Mozelle was born on April 21, 1923 in Konawa to Johnnie James Mayfield and Sarah Elizabeth (Hagar) Mayfield. She was a homemaker of the Christian faith, and she enjoyed her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Troy Rayford Duncan and wife, Carolyn of Warner, Oklahoma, and Donald Irvin Duncan and wife, Sherri of Nixa, MO; one daughter, Sarah LaWanda Chadwick and fiancé, John Stephen Michener of Oklahoma City; special friend, Col. J.R. Baxter of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Geneva Kelly of Pacifica, CA, Wanda “Smit” Senior of Littleton CO, and Peggy Flatt of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Duncan; one brother, Johnny Mayfield, and one sister, Willie Jean Spencer.
