Longtime Seminole resident Piney Ravey (Johnson) Thomas passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 84. rnrnShe was born on November 8, 1924 in Boatman, Oklahoma to Eldridge "Ed" and Goldie Rae (Hossman) Johnson. rnrnShe was a member of the Bowlegs Baptist Church. She loved to dance, read and be with her grandkids. rnrnShe is survived by two daughters: Shirley Northtrip and husband Bob of Seminole, Oklahoma and Patsy Ann Mowery of Shawnee, Oklahoma, four sisters: Virginia Shuler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vada Knolls of Oregon, Imogene Hobbs of Arizona and Geraldine Carnes of Muskogee, Oklahoma. rnrnShe is also survived by four grandchildren: Terry Northrip and wife Jacque, John Northrip, Eric Mowery and wife DeLora and Rene Obar. eight great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. rntrnShe is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Goldie Johnson, one daughter, Gloria Edwards, four brothers; Dick, Ray, Frank and Clarence Johnson and one sister, Lucille Long. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 11:00am, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Little Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Terry Northrip, John Northrip, Eric Mowery, Zac Northrip, Larry Adams and Nealon Adams.
