Phillip "Daniel" Talamasy

Phillip “Daniel” Talamasy, Seminole resident, passed away on December 18, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 51.  He was born on February 25, 1972 in Claremore to Kennedy Wise Talamasy and Bessie “Pinto” (Yargee) Wise Talamasy. Daniel married Tarah Jackson on February 23, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Daniel enjoyed his children and his wife, stomp dancing, singing Creek hymns.  Above all else he enjoyed his OU football.  You couldn’t bother him on game day.  He liked fixing things.

In his life, Daniel had many accomplishments.  He graduated as a Pharmacy Tech.  After his work to increase revenue from the point of sale, he went to work for Creek Nation Health Systems where he helped increase revenue there as well.  From there he went to work for the Bemidii Area Office as a consultant where he assisted over 35 tribal clinics and three service units with his knowledge of streamlining the revenue cycle and HIPPA violations.  His greatest accomplishment was being the CEO of the White Earth Service Unit.

Daniel was always willing to help others in any way he could.  As a servant of God he did what he could for the Lord.

Dainiel leaves behind his wife, Tarah Talamasy; son, Siyv Talamasy; daughter, Aubrie Talamasy; three sisters, Bernadine Dixon, Margret Wise-Talamasey and Ladena Hampton; a host of nieces and nephews; as many great nieces and nephews; many other family and friends and his cats, Tommy Two Guns Talamasy and Tiny Church Talamasy.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Winey Yargee and Phillip Yargee;  parents, Kennedy Wise Talamasy and Bessie “Pinto” Wise Talamasy; Andy Neha Wise Talamasy; Jonah Wise Talamasy; brother, Kennedy Wise Talamasy Jr. “Big Boy”; Christine Wise Talamasy and Thelma Talamasy.

Casket bearers will be the Alabama-Quassarte Ceremonial Guard.  Honorary casket bearers will be the Sand Creek Eufaula Brothers In Christ.

Daniel will be taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist in Seminole, OK at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 for the wake beginning at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church in Seminole, OK.  Interment will follow at the Talamasy Family Cemetery at the home.
