Phillip Leon Floyd, 70 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Morristown, Tennessee surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 25, 1947 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Charles William Floyd and Fannie Charlean (Lashley) Floyd. Phillip graduated from Seminole High School in 1966 and went on to attend college. Phillip married Linda D. Bryan on October 25, 1987 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2011. Phillip worked as a pipefitter foreman Forgan Inc. Natural Gas Plant until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching his grandchildren’s ballgames. Phillip also attended Morristown Wesleyan Church in Morristown, Tennessee. Survivors include one son Michael Ventris and his wife Doris of Prague, Oklahoma; two daughters Lazeal Moore and her husband Tim of Agra, Oklahoma, Mila Ketchum and her husband Jon of Morristown, Tennessee; two sisters, Dollie Long of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Judy Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Vickie Stapp and Emma Johnston; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Fannie and Charles Floyd, by his maternal grandfather Thomas Lashley, by one brother Roy Lee, by one sister Sheila and by his wife Linda Floyd. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Little Cemetery in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
