Peter J. “PJ” Wolfe, 38, Earlsboro, Oklahoma area, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at his home in Earlsboro. Peter was born January 14, 1982 in Ada, Oklahoma to Alex Peter Wolfe and Christine Sue (Harjo) McKinney. PJ grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma until the age of 8, when his family moved to California and then back to Earlsboro at the age of 12. He lived there until his passing. PJ graduated from Earlsboro High School in 2001. PJ was a member of the Earlsboro Indian Baptist Church in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. He worked as a landscaper and was on the maintenance crew at Citizen Potawatomi Nation and worked as a sacker at Firelake Grocery. He also worked security at Indian Falls Creek for 10 years. PJ loved going to church activities, especially Indian Falls Creek, the beach, the mountains, indoor Indian stomp dances, watching WWE wrestling matches, going to the movies and watching his favorite movie “Fast and Furious”. PJ loved going to any activities he could attend. He enjoyed and look forward to visits with his cousins; Summer Hicks, Desi Peacore and Caleb Peacore. PJ always tried to help out wherever he could. He liked visiting other Indian Churches especially Sand Creek Eufaula because he said the songs reminded him of Grandma Susie. PJ will be missed by his beloved family. PJ is survived by his mother; Christine S. McKinney and step-father John A. McKinney, five brothers; Daniel Wolfe of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Svk Wolfe of the home, Christopher McKinney and his wife Kathryn of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Raymond McKinney and John Homma McKinney both of the home, his sister; Alex Michelle Wolfe of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, his nieces; Melena RS Pumpkin McKinney, Andye Wolfe, Toby Meeley and Katey Meely, nephews; Cooper McKinney, Jordan B. Hicks, Vaden Switch, Havoc Switch and many friends and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father; Alex Wolfe, grandmother; Susie Johnson Harjo and grandfather; Raymond Marcey Harjo. PJ’s body will be taken to the Earlsboro Indian Baptist Church in Earlsboro, Oklahoma at 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 6, 2020. There will be a wake service at the church starting at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 27, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Earlsboro Indian Baptist Church with Pastor Gaylen Greenwalt officiating. Burial will follow at the Johnson Family cemetery south of Wetumka, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Marshall Ponkilla, Phillip Peacore, Eric Yahola, Brian Ponkilla, J.R. Ponkilla and Daniel Wolfe. Honorary bearers will be Bruce Akkasirisku, Justin Woodward, Zack Harjo, Emerson Davis, Chance Harjo, Trey Harjo and Svk Wolfe. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral Information: February 28, 2020, 2:00 PM
