Pete Earl House, 63 Pete House, a lifelong Seminole county resident, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Houston, Texas at the age of 63. Pete was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on April 15, 1948 to parents, William Colombus House and Alma Lucille (Wilhelm) House. Pete graduated from Bowlegs High School and attended Oklahoma University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Pete’s occupations included working on the Alaskan pipeline, Civil Engineering in Tulsa, Oklahoma from which he retired, and Ranching and Real Estate. He also was of the Christian faith. Pete married Katherine Ruth Howell on June 18, 1992 at Ouray, Colorado. Pete is survived by his mother, Alma Lucille House of Pueblo, Colorado, wife, Katherine; two sons, Tyler Lane of Norman, Oklahoma and Travis Lane of Edmond, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, McKenna, Ben, Lexi, Kade and Jack. He is also survived by three sisters, Virginia Arlene Reekie of Livingston, Alabama, Patricia Ann Fowler of Pueblo, Colorado and Linda Diane Jackson. Surviving Pete also is great uncle Scotty House and his wife Norma Jean. Pete was preceded in death by his father William House. Funeral service for Pete will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Amanda Lockwood officiating. Interment will take place at Wolf Cemetery, Seminole County, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are: Tyler Lane, Travis Lane, Mike Reekie, Dale Oglesby, James Buckley and Jason Gudgel.
