Perry D. Roulston, 75 year old longtime Konawa area resident, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.rnrnHe was born on June 9, 1931 in Vamoosa, OK to Zachary Taylor Roulston and Lessie Nora (Baker) Roulston. rnrnPerry enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country for 20 years. He attained the rank of Tech Sergeant and retired in 1967. rn rnHe later went to work for OG&E and worked there for 10 years in the 1970's. rnrnPerry was a cattle rancher and farmer and was also associated with the oil industry. rnrnHe was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed life to the fullest.rnrnHe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ada and the Masonic Lodge in Blair, OK.rnrnPerry married Patsy (Scroggin) on June 22, 1957 in Konawa. She survives him of the home.rnrnHe is also survived by one son, Robert Roulston of Konawa; rnrnone daughter, Lori Hill of McAlester, OK; rnrnsix brothers, Hiram Roulston of Sasakwa, Tony Roulston of Sasakwa, Dale Roulston of Okla. CIty, Doyle Roulston of Yukon, Dempsey Roulston of Shawnee and Hardy Roulston of Edmond; rnrnone grandson, Westin Anthony Poe and a host of other family and friends.rnrnHe was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and four sisters.rnrnFuneral services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Konawa with Ed George officiating. rnrnServing as casket bearers will be Ryan Russell, Zeb Kuestersteffen, Steve Flora, Jack Gorczyca, Russell Yott, Jason Yott, Russell Bolen and Ray Roskopf. Honorary bearers will be his Sunday School Class.rnrnBurial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery with full military honors.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
