Penny Dawn Stevens-Jennings

Penny Dawn Jennings, 36, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Seminole Oklahoma. Penny was born November 21, 1978 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to J. D. (Jimmie Dale) Stevens and Kathy (Payton) Snow. Penny had an Associates Degree in Microbiology as well as other occupations.  She was a licensed horse/mule groomer in California and Nevada.  She was also a professional Photographer and owned and operated Black Tree Photographie.  She was a "Free Spirit" and had the opportunity to travel and work in South Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay, California as well as Carson City, Nevada, and Winnemucca, Nevada, whether it be working with horses, mules or her photography.   She had lived in Stockton, California for several months and helped take care of her uncle Delbert.  Penny also lived in Columbus, Nebraska and Fullerton, Nebraska before moving back to her hometown Seminole, Oklahoma, to be with her children and her mother.  If there was something that needed done, Penny did not hesitate, she would get it done.   She was not afraid to tackle any job and if she didn't know how, she would learn.  She was an "Amazing young Lady" and loved by so many people.  She loved to laugh and loved her family and friends. Penny battled cancer and won the first round.  The next round of cancer was just too much and our Savior took her home to be with him in Heaven. Penny is survived by a son, Karson Stevens and a daughter, Keona Stevens and her mother, Kathy Snow of the home,   Her special "Aunt Nancy Blodgett, " her second mother,  Half brother Doug Stewart and wife Cindy of Shawnee, Mark Stewart of Shawnee and stepbrothers Danny Snow and Bobby Snow,  Step sisters, Debe Hausechild, Sandy Snow, Nancy Gilliam, and Laurie Eby.   She is also survived by former husband and friend, Ronald Jennings of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her father, J. D. Stevens and step-father Robert "Bob" Snow.  Viewing will be at Swearingen Funeral Home Thursday and Friday.  Memorial Service will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m., at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 1609 E.
