Peggy Ann Sullivan, 66 year old Shawnee, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born August 23, 1951 in Vernon, Texas to parents Kathryn “Sue” (Bellar) Sullivan and Jimmy Sullivan. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn “Sue” Bellar in December of 2009. Her mother’s two sisters, Rena Glasgow and Velma Sanford and by her mother’s two brothers, Clyde Bellar and J.C. Bellar. There are numerous other family members that have gone before her, including her aunt Bell Bellar and six cousins. Peggy moved from Vernon, Texas in 1968 to Seminole, Oklahoma. She worked at Wrangler during that time. In 1970 Peggy moved to Elk City, Oklahoma. She worked as a secretary for several different oil companies. She then worked for the District Attorney’s Office in Sayre, Oklahoma. Peggy worked as a healthcare provider for Sara Turner until her death. Peggy had also worked in the garden center of Ace Hardware in Elk City for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed caring for the plants very much. In 2013 Peggy moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma along with her father. She worked for Goodwill until her cancer became too much. Peggy made many lasting friendships there with her co-workers and customers. Peggy liked working in her yard. She loved her dog and cat and she was an advocate of animal welfare. She loved babies and always would talk to them no matter where they were. She will truly be missed by many people that loved her. She was a wonderful sister, daughter and aunt. Her love and beauty will live on in our hearts until we meet again. In the end she kept smiling. Peggy is survived by her father, Jimmy Sullivan of Shawnee, Oklahoma, one sister, Linda Rose of Shawnee, Oklahoma and a nephew Jascen Wells of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Peggy also leaves behind her best friend forever, Londa Williams of Elk City, Oklahoma. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., December 8, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Lonnie Forrester officiating the service.
