Peggy Posey

Peggy Louise (Smith) Posey, 55 year old longtime Seminole County resident, and former Eufaula resident, passed from this life Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Peggy was born June 1, 1961 in Great Bend, Kansas to parents Raymond Neal Smith and Alpha Louise (Drewry) Smith. Peggy graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1978. Peggy worked in food service most of her life.  She worked at Braum's when it first came to Seminole.  Peggy had also been involved in owning and managing different restaurants.   Most recently she worked at the Road House Restaurant located north of Seminole at I-40. On February 15, 1983 Peggy married Phillip L. Posey in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Survivors include her mother, Alpha Louise (Drewry) Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma; her husband of 33 years, Phillip Posey of the home; two sons, Tyler Sharber and his wife Whitney of Midland, Texas, and Chris Posey and his wife Shayla of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Renee Ross and her husband Eric of Choctaw, Oklahoma; one brother, Wayne Smith and his wife Bonnie Schomp of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; by 12 grandchildren, Nikole Ross, Craig Posey, Nikoles Ross, Clayton Posey, Braydon Turner, Kole Ross, Brooklyn Turner, Destiny Sharber, Koletin Ross, Jaden Sharber, Eli Sharber, and Hope Posey; Peggy is also survived by her mother-in-law, JoAnn Posey of Seminole, Oklahoma and a host of other family and dear friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Smith, by one granddaughter, Alexis Sharber and by her father-in-law, Charles Lang Posey. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastors Jim and Nita Moreland officiating the service.
