Peggy Lindsey

Peggy Ruth (Wright) Lindsey, 88 Peggy Ruth (Wright) Lindsey, Earlsboro resident passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 88. Peggy was born January 25, 1926 in Bearden, Oklahoma to parents, Eucle Wright and Ruth Mae Robinson (Scarbrough) Wright. Peggy loved taking care of her home and cooking holiday dinners for her family. She was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dedicated herself to taking care of her two grandsons with muscular dystrophy. Peggy is survived by two daughters; Claudia Sperry and husband Gerald of Yukon, Oklahoma and Marilyn Permetter and husband John E. Sr. of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; one brother, James Curtis Wright and his wife Trudy of Earlsboro, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Andrea Austin and her husband Joe of Austin, Texas, Brad Sperry of Yukon, Oklahoma, Kyle Sperry and his wife Staci of Yukon, Oklahoma, Amber Magness of Cedar Park, Texas, Stacie Permetter of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and son-in-law Tim Magness of Cedar Park, Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Raven McClain, Christian Wright, Aubrey and Heath Sperry, Luke and Carly Austin, Alyvia and Teagan Sperry. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Eucle Wright and Ruth May (Scarbrough) Wright Robinson and husband Ben Lindsey; brothers, Richard Wright, Edward (Ed) Wright; son, Cecil Wayne Slagle; daughter, Gail (Howell) Magness; two grandsons, Tommy Slagle, Chris Permetter and one great granddaughter, Jordan Permetter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 6, 2014 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Chesser, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Dale Cemetery, Dale, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Curtis Wright, Gerald Sperry, John Earl Permetter, Sr., Tim Magness, Brad Sperry and Kyle Sperry.
