Peggy Copeland

Peggy Ann Copeland, 24 year old former Maud, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on January 30, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1982 in Moore, Oklahoma to parents, Jerry Wayne Copeland and Mary (Gober) Copeland.rnrnPeggy lived most of her life in Maud attending Maud Shools until moving to Denison, Texas in May of 2000 to attend the School for the Blind and Impared her Senior year. She had been active in the special olympics and was a member of the (F.H.A.) Future Homemakers of America. She was also very active while attending the School for the Blind and Impared.rnrnPeggy is survived by her father and step-mother who raised her, Jerry and Elizabeth Copeland of Denison, Texas.rnrnTwo brothers, her twin brother, Patrick Wayne Copeland of Garland, Texas and Roy and his wife Christi Copeland of Denison, Texas.rnrnTwo sisters, Carole Maxon of Denison, Texas and LaTisha Vansickel of Denison, Texas.rnrnPaternal grandfather, Leonard Copeland of Sherman, Texas.rnrnMaternal granparents, Peggy and Roy Gober of Tupelo, Mississippi.rnrnStep-Maternal grandparents, Carole and Bennie Pierce of Macomb, Oklahoma.rnrnTwo nieces, Haylee Copeland and Chelsea Coleman.rnrnTwo nephews, Joseph Copeland and Jordan Maxon.rnrnAlso surviving are a host of other family and friends.rnrnPeggy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Gober) Copeland who died March 12, 2005 and by her paternal grandmother, Lena Faye Copeland who died in 1982.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Vaden Morgan officiating the service and James Zeller assisting.rnrnInterment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home - 100 West Strothers Ave. - Seminole, Oklahoma 74868.
