Pearl Curry

Pearl Mattenlee Curry, 95, longtime Seminole resident went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Pearl was born December 14, 1913 in Keifer, Oklahoma to Ed and Bertie(McCullen) Hardin.rnrnMrs. Curry owned Curry-Hardin Furniture and Gifts in Seminole for many years and retired in May of 1985.rnrnMrs. Curry was very active in the First United Methodist Church where she was a longtime member. She was a member of the Wedding Ring Class and UMW, a Campfire Leader, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Eastern Star.rnrnMrs. Curry married Tony E. Curry, September 10, 1931 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Tony preceded her in death on February 17, 1980.rnrnMrs. Curry is survived by four daughters: Norma June Nease of Oklahoma City, Billie Ann Minihan of Shawnee, Mary Lee Crenshaw of Seminole, and Toni Lynn Lee of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by one sister, Verba Krasowski of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Mrs Curry is survived by eleven grandchildren: Thomas Michael Minihan, Amy Hill, R.B. Bruce, Stephanie Jackson, Stacy Ezell, Robert Curry, Carol Ann Sloan, John, Mark, Linda and Eric Curry and by great grandchildren: Braden Starcher, Krissy Starcher, Erin Hill, Benjamin Jackson, Ann, Emily and Hilary Curry and numerous others. Also surviving is one great-great grandson, Isaiah.rnrnMrs. Curry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tony, by brothers Bert and Steve Hardin, sister Anna Mae Evans and by two step-sons Donald and Bill Curry.rnrnFuneral services for Mrs. Curry are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Seminole with Pastor Gary Wilburn officiating and assisted by Pastor Nicholas Jackson. Internment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnServing as casket bearers are: Edward Hardin, Walter Hardin, Joe Hardin, Charles Krasowski, Johnny Lewis and Wesley Hill.rn Funeral Information: February 5, 2009, 10:30 AM
