Pearl (Sexton) Campbell, age 95 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Ballard Nursing Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31st at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery. Richard Winters will officiate, and pallbearers are Mark Campbell, Steve Campbell, Mike Campbell, Jim Tooley, Wade Snodgrass, Cody Campbell, Jamie Wilson, and Jeremy Tooley. Pearl was born on April 12, 1916 in Konawa to Maud (Barnett) Sexton and Tom Sexton. Pearl graduated from Vamoosa High School and married Woodrow Campbell in Konawa on December 4, 1935. Pearl was a homemaker who owned a ceramic shop and later a material shop behind her home, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Konawa. She was survived by three daughters, Carolyn Tooley of Konawa, Jeri Wagoner also of Konawa, and Jackie Carr of Enid, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Pat Campbell of Konawa; three brothers, Frank Sexton of Oklahoma City, J.T. Sexton of Konawa, and Doyle Sexton of Asher, Oklahoma; three sisters, Juanita Thomas of Konawa, Jean Dale Akerman of Konawa, and Amilene Sanders of Moore, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Maud Sexton; her husband, Woodrow Campbell; one son, Donald Campbell; one brother, Howard Sexton; four sisters, Iva Branscum, Jewel Campbell, Lorene Sexton, and Lavonia Sexton; two grandchildren, Gary and Tim Campbell; one great grandchild, Shawna Campbell; and one great-great grandchild, Tyler Campbell.
