The family of Pauline Anderson Pruitt is rejoicing that Pauline went to be with her Lord and Savior on her birthday, April 19, 2011, with family by her side in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Pauline has been a longtime Seminole resident; her sister and a niece Lou Hamilton had been caring for her in Sulphur. Pauline was born on April 19, 1934 in Isabella, Oklahoma near Enid to Dawson and Harriett (Reams) Zimmerman. Pauline graduated from Tecumseh High School. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Over her lifetime she taught the Bible through song to hundreds of children at Sunday School. She worked as a cook at Wolf School and also worked at Solo Cup in Ada for 23 years. The family fondly remembers her as an “awesome grandma”, loving known as Nanny. They loved spending time with her and she absolutely lived for them! She married her husband and the father of her children Jim Anderson on June 7, 1952 in Irving, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Paula Anderson of Seminole, two sons and daughters-in-law; Jody and Karen Anderson of Seminole and Jeff and Betty Anderson of Hannibal, Missouri, two sisters, Wanda Talley of Sulphur, Oklahoma and Darlene Lyons of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren; Kraig Van Brunt Amber Van Brunt, Elisa Anderson, Clay Anderson, Jarrod Anderson, Ashlie Hirtzel, and Tyler Anderson; great grandchildren; Kash, Madison and Shepherd Van Brunt, Judd, Brody and Pete Anderson, Allie Grace Hirtzel, Garrett and Macey Anderson and Emma Connelly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Anderson, parents Dawson and Harriett Zimmerman and two brothers; Raymond and Richard Zimmerman. The family will receive friends for a visitation that will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life and Home Going service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Anderson officiating.
