Pauline (Harjo) Doyle, age 76 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada, Oklahoma. A wake service is scheduled for 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 27th at the Chapel in Konawa. Rev. Johnny Campbell and Rev. Ed George will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers are Manuel Lena, Manuel Lena, Jr., Osceola York, Maurice Spencer, Donald Yargee, and Bobby Lena. Honorary pallbearers are Armetta Jones, Martha Mae Palmer, Josephine Hulsey, Marie Jessie, and Sallie Frazier. Pauline was born on October 24, 1934, in Konawa to Putkeh Harjo and Ada (Caesar) Harjo. She graduated from Konawa High School, and worked as a secretary for the Seminole Nation. She loved basketball games with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by one sister, Minnie Harjo of Konawa and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Putkeh and Ada Harjo; one sister, Hattie Harjo; and one brother, Thomas J. Harjo.
