Paul Dean Turnbow , age 79 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Vamoosa Cemetery, East of Konawa. Rev. Gary Choate, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Sasakwa will officiate. Viewing is scheduled for Monday, November 23rd at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
Paul was born December 31, 1940 in Konawa to William Mansel Turnbow and Artie Marie (Payne) Turnbow. He graduated from Konawa High School and worked as a custodian for the school system. He married Mary Louise (Tucker) Blackburn on November 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Sasakwa, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sasakwa. Paul loved horses, and he loved riding horses.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Blackburn Turnbow of the home; two step-sons, Donnie and Eugene Blackburn; eight grandchildren, Lacy King, Fantasia Nelson, Brittany Boren, Levi Blackburn, Austin Blackburn, Colton Blackburn, Gracie Blackburn, and Danielle Hopper; nine great grandchildren, Jaden King, Casey King, Jacie King, Landen Sullivan, Kaidence Sullivan, Kamdyn Sullivan, Breahleigh Sullivan, Georgia Hopper, and Carle Hopper; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Artie Turnbow; one daughter, Paula Turnbow; one brother, Billie Turnbow; one sister, Velma Jackson; and one granddaughter, Misty Gail Hudson.
