Paul E. Postman 85 year old Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident, and former Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born August 30, 1931 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to parents William Ward Postman and Ada Delena (Hoselton) Postman. When Paul turned 17 he joined the United States Army National Guard in Seminole, Oklahoma in 1947. He was mobilized out to the United Sates Army active duty on August 22, 1950. Paul was sent to Japan and then Korea until June 1952. He earned the Japan Occupation Medal and the Korea Service Medal with one Bronze Star. Following his time in the military Paul owned and operated P&P Dozer Service for 60 years in Maud. Paul is a former member of the Maud Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Saint Louis First Baptist Church. On June 29, 1992 Paul married Bobbie Sue (Hester) Postman in Gainesville, Texas. Survivors include his wife of almost 25 years, Bobbie Sue (Hester) Postman of the home; one son, Rick Postman and his wife Donna of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; three daughters, Sharron McDonald of Maud, Oklahoma, Paula Bowers and her husband Curtis of Maud, Oklahoma, Terry Peters of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four step-children, Judy Lawson, Steve Rich, Mark Rich, Janet Snodgrass; one brother, Don Postman of Mustang, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, by two brothers, Billy Postman and Ward Postman, by three sisters, LaHoma Boschen, Naomi Postman, Norma “Dean” Williams, by one great grandchild, Hunter Chaffin, and by one step-daughter, Charlotte Larney. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Saint Louis, Oklahoma with Military Honors. Pastor Brandon Leslie and Bro. Glenn Peck will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery located west of Saint Louis, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Ashley Postman, Wesley Postman, Dawson Porterfield, Brandon Ricketts, Tyler Bailey, and Jimmy Porterfield. Honorary Bearers will be: Gary Smith, Don Payne, Steve Pack, C.L. Barnett, Ted Phillips, and Lester Howe.
