Paul Ralph Conley, 65, a former Hughes County resident, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Sulphur Veterans Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Paul was born July 21, 1949 in Crossville, Tennessee to Mamie (Copeland) and William Conley. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant for two tours in Vietnam. Paul married Sheila Ann Little on November 4, 1972 in Jamestown, Tennessee in Fentress County. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2007. Paul is survived by his son, Jerry Conley of Lexington, Oklahoma, and a daughter and son-in-law Connie and Steve Chesser of Wewoka, Oklahoma; three sisters Sue Baker of Dayton, Ohio, Patty Keys of West Carrollton, Ohio and Mildred Sparks of Jamestown, Tennessee, four grandchildren Adam Chesser, Mathew Chesser, J.D. Conley and Destiny Conley, Seven Great Grandchildren; Addyson Chesser, Noah Chesser, Mason Rogers, Abbigail Chesser, Natalie Conley, Trinity Conley and Titus Conley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sheila, sisters; Leva Copeland, Weltha Faye Smith, Reba Scarlett and Treva N. Cochran. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Little Cemetery Chapel at Little Cemetery.
