Patsy Jean (Welcher) Brown, a long-time Seminole resident, met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She was born May 14, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, John and Hazel Welcher. Patsy was a student of Varnum High School, and after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Hershel Pack of Seminole. Patsy and their daughter, Donna were soon preceded by his untimely death. Patsy remarried on April 26, 1954 to Doyl Jackson “Jack” Brown in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She often described him as, “the prettiest man I ever saw”. Jack was a member of the United States Army, and as a military wife, Patsy and their three children, Donna, Johnie, and Paul proudly followed him to numerous Army duty stations across the United States, Hawaii, and twice to Germany. She happily made their family’s home “wherever Jack hangs his hat”. After 21 years of service, Jack retired from the Army, and he and Patsy along with the children returned to her hometown of Seminole where they were dairy farmers. Patsy also worked and eventually retired from Walmart. She and Jack were faithful members of Holdenville First Assembly of God Church. Patsy and Jack were married 59 years until his death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Welcher, two sisters, Johnie Faye Luper and Virginia Hansford. Patsy is survived by two sisters, Mildred DeShazo of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Rosella Remer of Ada, Oklahoma, her daughter, Donna Borner of Hastings, Minnesota, her sons, Johnie Brown of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Paul Brown of Seminole, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, Shaun Borner, Chris Borner, Ryan Borner, Greg Borner, Justin Brown, Cole Brown, and Jaycie Bowman, and 19 great-grandchildren.
