Patsy Ruth (Ashbaugh) Nichols, 77 year-old former Seminole County resident went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Warr Acres Nursing Center. She was born July 30, 1933 at the Lacy Lease in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Dean Meryl Ashbaugh and Pearl Lydia (Donaldson) Ashbaugh. Patsy graduated from New Lima High School in 1951. She later moved to McAlester, Oklahoma for a short time then to Moore, Oklahoma where she lived for over 50 years. Patsy was a supervisor for Manor Care Four Seasons Nursing Center from which she retired. Patsy attended both the First Baptist Church in Moore and the Blue Lakes Baptist Church. Patsy leaves to cherish her memories three daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie Boren of Moore, Oklahoma, Karen Nichols of Moore, Oklahoma and Roseanne and Kevin Cockriel of Ponca City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Ashley Boren of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Garret Boren of Moore, Oklahoma, Natalie and Michael Johns of Niceville, Florida, and June Cockriel of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two wonderful great-grandchildren Aiden and Landon Johns both of Niceville, Florida; a niece, Angie Huckleberry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a nephew, Randy Harrelson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Momma was a precious soul and loved by many. She will truly be missed. Patsy is preceded in death by her father, Dean Ashbaugh, her mother, Pearl Ashbaugh and by one sister, Nova Dean Harrelson. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
