Patrick H. "Pat" Harris, Sr., 76 year old Seminole resident passed from this life Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Solara Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born August 4, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Fred Carl Harris and Clara E. (Cordonnier) Harris.rnrnMr. Harris served in the United States Army as an "Army Medic." serving with the Medical Company 15th infantry regiment until his honorable discharge March 23, 1954.rnrnOn May 14, 1950, Mr. Harris was united in marriage to Retha "Aldean" Phillips, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrnMr. Harris worked as a construction superintendent, over seeing the construction of the United Founders Tower and The Regency Tower in Oklahoma City. He had worked for several construction companies including B&G Construction and Robert J. Harris Construction Company until his retirement in 1981.rnrnFollowing his retirement he moved his family to Seminole, Oklahoma where he was currently a member of Highway Baptist Church.rnrnHe leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years, Aldean Harris of the home.rnrnFive sons and daughter-in-laws; Patrick Harris, Jr. & his wife Robyn of Seminole, Oklahoma, Michael Harris & his wife Teri of Seminole, Oklahoma, Russell Harris of Seminole, Oklahoma, Dr. Dennis Harris & his wife Gay of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Scott Harris & his fiance' Melinda Mesa of Victoria, Texas.rnrnOne daughter and son-in-law; Linda & David Russell of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnTwo brothers and sisters-in-law; Waldo & Ann Harris of Green Acres, Florida and William & Betty Harris of Midwest City, Oklahoma.rnrnSister-in-law (wife's sister), Isabel Liles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrn17 grandchildren; Pat Harris III, Esan Harris, Adam Harris, Travis Harris, Trevor Harris, Trent Harris, Jennifer Merrell, Michelle Glenn, Melissa Harris, Cynthia Elizares, Brenae Russell, Lori Russell, Olivia Harris, Joshua Harris, Marcus Harris, Chuck Tipton and Yavette Henshaw.rnrn17 great grandchildren also survive.rnrnHarris is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Michael Harris, Jr. who died in 1990 and by five sisters and four brothers.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.rnrnInterment with military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Del City at Sunny Lane Cemetery.rnrnCasket Bearers will be; Pat Harris, Jr. - Michael Harris - Russell Harris - Dennis Harris - Scott Harris and David Russell.rnrnHonorary Bearers will be, Mr. Harris's grandsons.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home - Seminole, Oklahoma.
