Patricia Jo “Trish” (Yancey) Whitham, 49 year-old, lifelong Seminole County resident passed from this life Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born November 27, 1963 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Laura Mae (Brown) Yancey and Howard Lonzo Yancey. Trish graduated from New Lima High School in 1982 where she had been active in several activities including cheering on the cheer-leading squad. She also loved to play on summer softball leagues. Photography was also one of her passions as was her jewelry making. Trish married John Whitham on December 10, 1988 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She worked for over ten years at J.C. Penny’s in Shawnee, Oklahoma and later worked for the Bass Pro Shop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband John Whitham of the home; one son, Adam Colt Phillips of Bowlegs, Oklahoma; six sisters, Dolly Kelough of Salina, Oklahoma, Margaret McNeill of Seminole, Oklahoma, Shirley Castle of Seminole, Oklahoma, Judy Roberts of Seminole, Oklahoma, Lillie Davidson of Alamo, Texas and Dorothy Marlow of Wolf, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kiley Phillips, Ethan Phillips and Logan Carr; and a host of other family and dear friends. Trish is preceded in death by her father Howard Lonzo “Junior” Yancey; her mother, Laura Mae Yancey; one brother, Howard Lee Yancey; four sisters, Betty Sue Lozer, Sheila Gore, Linda Yancey and Deloris Yancey. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Ideal Street Baptist Church 1727 North Ideal Street in Seminole, Oklahoma with Dr. Carol Hopper officiating.
