Former longtime Seminole resident Patsy A. ?Pat? Padgett passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 75. rnrnShe was born on June 16, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Luther and Kate Ruth (Gurley) Higdon. rnrnPat lived in Seminole for 59 years before moving to Ada in 1992, to Norman in 1999 and in 2004, she moved to Yukon, Oklahoma where she was currently living. rnrnPat was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and served as the Past President of Pleasant Grove Alumni Association, She also attended East Central University in Ada. While living in Seminole, she was a member of the Bowling League for many years and Business Professional Women. She is a member of the St. Luke?s United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. rnrnPat began her career working for Norton-Ramsey Chevrolet and then Gregg Chevrolet where she was their comptroller for 19 years. She then went on to work as an office manager for the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission for 19 years where she retired in 1991. rnrnShe married Charles Padgett on November 25, 1966 in Seminole, Oklahoma; He survives her of the home in Yukon, Oklahoma. rnrnShe is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Kari and Jay Kelly of Yukon, Oklahoma, one special daughter, Lindy White of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, brother and sister-in-law: George and Jennie Higdon of Seminole, and sister and brother-in-law: Qualla and Bob Addington of Louisville, Kentucky, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Venetta and Tom Welsh of McAlester, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Katelyn, Madison, Kristian, Jayden and Kamryn. rnrnShe is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Kate Ruth Higdon, and one grandson, Gage Kelly, and one niece Karan Douthit. rnrnIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Luke?s Children and Youth Ministry, 222 N.W. 15th, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73103-3598 in Pat?s Memory. rnrnThe family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Swearingen Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2009. rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday. February 14, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Brinkworth officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma.rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
