Ozie Lee Payne (Brashier) Brock

Ozie Lee (Brashier) Payne Brock age 93, a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma and current resident of Stratford, Oklahoma, passed away from this life Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Ada Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma under the care of Halo Hospice. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Richard Winters will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Roy Brock, Mark Payne, Monte Payne, Mitchell Payne, Bryan Thomas, Tony Brock, and Duane Brock. Ozie was born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Nathan Brashier and Nevaeh (Sliger) Brashier.  She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide for New Horizons Nursing Center in Konawa.  She was also a Certified Med-Aide for the center as well as the kitchen supervisor until her retirement from there after twenty-three years of service.  She married Roy Payne May 26, 1943 in Konawa, and he passed from this life in 2002.  She married Otis Brock September 9, 2009 in Ada, Oklahoma.  Ozie was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Konawa, and she loved fishing, camping, and family gatherings. She is survived by her husband, Otis Brock of the home; one son, Kenneth Payne of Konawa; one daughter, Linda Brock and husband, Carrol of Stratford; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Payne; her parents, Nathan and Nevaeh Brashier; one daughter-in-law, Linda Payne; one great grandson, Kyle Brock; two brothers; and three sisters.
