Osceola York

Wewoka resident, Osceola York, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, in Edmond, at the age of 67.

O.C., the son of Henry York and Mary Etta (Jones) Franks, was born October 24, 1957, in Oklahoma City. He grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from US Grant High School. After high school, he attended Rose State College, in Midwest City. O.C. was a worker, he enjoyed tinkering and could take anything apart, fix it, and put it back together.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

O.C. is survived by his siblings, Tracy York, Veronica York, and Connie Rector, all of the home; a number of nieces and nephews; his significant other, Martha Flippin; and many other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., at the Burgess Family Cemetery in Konawa. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
