Ora Lee (Beavers) Thomas, 67 year-old former Seminole County resident passed from this life Friday, September 12, 2008 at her home in Oklahoma City. She was born September 9, 1941 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Starling Beavers and Minnie (Sutton) Beavers.rnrnFollowing graduation she went on to work as a CMA, RNA, CNA and a Paramedic in the Wewoka, Konawa area and for the past twenty plus years in Oklahoma City. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.rnrnShe leaves to cherish her memory her mother Minnie Beavers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sons, Gregory Beavers, Sr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Daniel Thomas, Jr. of Wewoka, Oklahoma; two daughters, Juanita Beavers of Seminole, Oklahoma and Minda Assiddiq of Seminole, Oklahoma; six brothers, J.C. Beavers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, George Beavers, Larry Beavers, Anthony Beavers, Troy Beavers and Amos Beavers all of California; one sister, Dorcel Beavers of California; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.rnrnThomas was preceded in death by her father and by her husband Danny Thomas, Sr. who died in 2006.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008 at The First Baptist Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Rev. Buster Thomas will officiate the service.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home - Seminole, Oklahoma.
