Onita (Payne) House

Onita (Payne) House, age 79 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010, at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25th at the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Wesley Martin, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Sasakwa.  Pallbearers are Scottie Agent, Weylon Holtman, Larry House, Bryan House, Justin House, and Eddie Hilmes. Honorary pallbearers are Dale House, Rickey House, Robby House, and Billy Stuckey.  Visitation is Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  The family will receive visitors on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Onita was born on March 18, 1931, in Waldron, Arkansas, to Lilly (Payne) and Sellus Payne.  She married Robert House on February 24, 1945, in Waldron.  She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sasakwa. She is survived by three sons, Aron Dale House and wife, Karen of Konawa, Oklahoma, Rickey Lynn House and wife, Terry of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Robert Rickman House, Jr., also of Konawa, Oklahoma; four daughters, Betty Stuckey and husband, Billy of Madill, Oklahoma, Shirley Ann Briggs and husband, Tommy of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, Janis Wheeler and husband, Elmer of Ada, Oklahoma, and Brenda Tatum and husband, Michael Trent of Konawa, Oklahoma; thirty-two grandchildren, eighty-one great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilly and Sellus Payne; her husband, Robert House, three sons, Darryl Wayne House, Jerry Don House, and Robert Leon House; one brother and four sisters.
