Olive LeJoyce Dill

Olive LeJoyce (Newton) Dill, 93 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her home in Seminole.  She was born January 29, 1921 in Meeker, Oklahoma to parents, Oscar Newton and Myrtle (Thompson) Newton. Olive graduated from Meeker High School.  She later met and married Leo Dill on May 9, 1938 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  Sadly Leo preceded her in death in 1991. Olive was a homemaker. Olive leaves to cherish her memory one son, Joe Dill and his wife Dana of Shawnee; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara (Dill) Spoon of Seminole, Oklahoma, Betty Keith and her husband Sonny of Meeker, Oklahoma; one sister, Georgia George of California; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Olive is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leo Dill; two sons, Don Dill and Jimmy Dill; two daughters, Donna McGowen and an infant child Darla Dill.  She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Johnston Cemetery located north of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
