Ola Estella Davis, 94, longtime Seminole resident, passed away, Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Seminole Care and Rehab. Ola was born May 23, 1922 in Paden, Oklahoma to Sherman Behrnes and Cordie Mae (Thomas) Behrnes. Ola came to Seminole, Oklahoma from Prague, Oklahoma in 1957. Ola was a homemaker and longtime faithful member of the Seminole Church of Christ. Ola loved her grandchildren. She loved being with them and all her family. She enjoyed gardening, helpling her son with his animals, and quilting. She married Roy Franklin Davis on June 19, 1939 in Wewoka, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on October 14, 2003. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pauletta and Loyd Vulgamore and her son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Candy Davis all of Seminole, Oklahoma, a sister Ida James of Prague, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Angela and Bryan Armstrong, Marcia and Danny Morris, Melissa Davis and Greg Harris and Mike and Joy Davis and a step grandchild Joe Vulgamore; her great grandchildren Jennifer and Joshua Armstrong, Emily and Megan Morris, Ethan, Jeremiah and Huntter Westmoland, Hailee Harris, Brad and Shelby Davis, Amber, Jamie and Jacob Vulgamore. Ola was one of ten children with eight of her siblings preceding her in death, along with her parents and her husband of 64 years, Roy F. Davis. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Church of Christ at 12040 Hwy 99 North in Seminole, with Arpoika Daniels and Brother Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. The family would like to thank the Seminole Care and Rehab, Dr. Randall Kemp and Faith Hospice for their care while in the nursing home and the staff of Swearingen Funeral Home for their services during this difficult time.
