Odella “Odell” Teresa Dingler, Yukon resident, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, in Yukon, OK. Odell was born on April 19, 1927, in Lourdes, Newfoundland, to George and Margaret (March) O’Quinn (Aucion). She lived in Wewoka for 41 years and Seminole for 27 years after moving from Stephenville, Canada. Odell spent her later years close to family in Yukon, OK. She devoted her work to food service for Wewoka Public Schools and retired from there after 20 years of service.
Odell married Raymond L. Dingler on May 27, 1950 in Stephenville, Canada. She loved to cook and care for her family.
Odell is survived by her husband, Raymond L. Dingler; son, Gary Dingler and wife, Rudy Ann of Yukon, OK; daughter, Carol and husband, John Brandly of Oakwood, OK; three brothers, Mike O’Quinn of Ontario, Canada; Alph O’Quinn and wife, Mabel of Ontario, Canada and Ken O’Quinn of Lourdes, Newfoundland; sister, Evelyn McClain and husband Jim of Romance, AR; two grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Odell was preceded in death by her parents; 8 brothers and 5 sisters.
Viewing for Odell will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2021 and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole, OK, with Rev. Joseph Schwarz, Rev. Nerio Espinoza and Rev. Brendan Helbing officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, OK. Service are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
