Ocie D. Jackson, 93, longtime Seminole resident, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ocie was born July 30, 1924 in Madison County, Arkansas to Alvin Estel Stotler and Lillie Jane (Evans) Stotler. Ocie came to Seminole in 1946. She married Earl Uriah Jackson on February 14, 1940 in Paden, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2012. She was a homemaker, and helped her husband Earl, with taking care of lawns around Seminole, and as a caregiver to the elderly. She enjoyed riding her bicycle, going camping and her hobby was making quilts, until she was unable to thread needles anymore. Mrs. Jackson in survived by her son Jimmie Ray Jackson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, her daughter Peggy Goforth of the Little Community north of Seminole, and her son Ronnie Jackson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren one nephew and four nieces and many other family members and good friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma with Wayne Sloan officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
