Ocie Cole

Ocie “Lorene” (Brewer) Cole, age 89, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Richard Winters will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are David Brewer, II, Kenny Brewer, Adlofo Cruz, and Anthony Landers.  The funeral home will be open Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and the family will received visitors from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Lorene was born July 10, 1929 in Konawa at High Springs Church to William “Homer” Brewer and Ocie (Moore) Brewer.  She graduated from Vamoosa High School, and married Troy Cole.  She worked as a store manager for a women’s department store in Ontario, California.  She loved visiting people, going to the Senior Citizen Center, and playing “Chicken Scratch” dominos.  She also enjoyed genealogy research and watching the “Antique Road Show”. She is survived by one son, Jim Foran and wife, Evelyn of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one brother, Frank Brewer of Maud, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Annette Cruz and husband, Adlofo, Jeremy Foran, and Lori Davis and husband, Joel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ocie Brewer; husband, Troy Cole; three brothers, R.C. Brewer, W.H. Brewer, and Ben Brewer; four sisters, Laura Marie Downey, Ellen Eberle, Dorothy Mullins, and Mary Mosley. Funeral Information: October 15, 2018, 2:00 PM
