Norma Yoesel

Norma Aileen Yoesel, 89, longtime former Seminole resident died, Thursday April 17, 2013 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Norma was born January 13, 1924 in St. Joseph, Missouri to George and Agnes Lidy (Keller) Mann. Norma moved to Seminole in January of 1964 from Arkansas City, Kansas. She was a homemaker and attended the First Christian Disciple Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Norma married her high school sweetheart, Alvin Yoesel on March 20, 1945 in Hiawatha, Kansas; they had known each other since 1938. Norma is survived by her husband of 68 years, Alvin Yoesel of Checotah, Oklahoma; her daughters Sondra Aquilar and her husband Mike of Shelbyville, Illinois, Joyce Allen  and her husband Dewey  of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Ivona Watson and her husband Larry of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her sister Winifred Woodruff of Kansas, seven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren also survive her. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death. Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.
