Norma Welch

Norma Daisy Welch, 78 Norma Welch, life long Seminole county resident passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home in Bowlegs, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Norma was born on March 7, 1935 in Stratford, Oklahoma to parents William Hilton and Iva (Meeks) Hilton. Norma was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs, Oklahoma and a homemaker. Norma married Troy Welch, February 6, 1955 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Troy preceded her in death in November 5, 2006. Norma is survived by three sons; Dewayne Welch of Seminole, Oklahoma, Danny Welch of North Carolina and Doug Welch of Seminole, Oklahoma, three daughters; Debbie Cecil of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Dennie Phillips of Maud, Oklahoma and Dianne Welch of  Bowlegs, Oklahoma, two brothers; Mike Hilton of Seminole, Oklahoma and Tom Hilton of Texas, three sisters; Betty Melloy of Wilson, Oklahoma, Linda Pierce of Maud, Oklahoma and Darlene Selfridge of Seminole, Oklahoma and Norma is also survived by 18 grandchildren and over 30 great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; William and Iva Hilton, husband Troy Welch, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church of Bowlegs, Oklahoma with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens of Seminole, Oklahoma. Serving as Casket bearers: Steve Welch, Billy Cecil, Joe Doyle, Matthew Welch, Tim Gentry and Gene Welch. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
