Longtime Seminole resident Norma Lea Robbins passed away on February 2, 2010 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 74. She was born on September 14, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Grover Cleveland and Stella (Harris) Shockey. She married Earmond Robbins on October 13, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on September 26, 1982. She retired from Seminole Hospital where she worked as a dietician for over 20 years. She taught Sunday School Class at the First Church of God in Seminole where she was a long-time member and was a member of the Carrie Missionary Circle. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life, and she also loved arts and crafts, decorating and making wedding cakes. She is survived by her son Ronnie Robbins of Seminole, Oklahoma, two daughters, Rosalea Robinson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Penny Claborn and husband Mark of Seminole, one brother, J.C. Shockey of Sallisaw and one sister, Dorothy “Jeannie” Rees of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Elaine Jones and husband Tim of Plano, Texas, Derek Claborn and Fiance Michelle Allain of Ardmore, Drew Claborn of Seminole and two great grandchildren, Karson Jones and Kaden Jones. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Geraldine Tomlin, brother, Homer Shockey and husband Earmond Robbins. The family will serve as casket bearers. Services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma.
