Norma Jean Presley, age 74 and a resident of Maud, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009, at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9th, at Little Cemetery under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud. Rev. Carl Whitfield, Pastor of Highway Baptist Church, will officiate. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Ashley Postman, Wesley Postman, Wade Porterfield, Eddie Botting, Mason Rogers, Joseph McDonald, and Randy Harjo. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud. Norma was born on September 17, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma, to M. P. and Lena Grace (Luther) Presley. She was a homemaker who loved her family and grandchildren very much. Norma was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Maud. She is survived by one son, Rickey and wife, Donna Postman of St. Louis, Oklahoma; three daughters, Sharron McDonald, Paula and husband, Curtis Bowers, and Terry and husband, Tony Peters, all of Maud, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Presley of Maud, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara and husband, Verlin Fletcher and Linda and husband, Lewis Schaflander, all of Maud, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Ashley Postman, Wesley Postman, Johna Gustin, Joseph McDonald, Jenny Matthews, Jennifer Chaffin, Jaclyn Porterfield, Audrey Peters, and Amy Botting; four step-grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and ten step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, M. P. and Lena Presley, and one great grandchild, Hunter Brooke Chaffin.
