Norma Jean (Mullins) Dodson, 86 Norma Jean Dodson, longtime Seminole resident went to be the Lord, Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Norma was born February 22, 1924 in Okemah, Oklahoma to parents Gilbert Tim Mullins and Nannie Elizabeth (Woods) Mullins. Norma married William H. Dodson on November 16, 1940 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. They lived in Seminole from 1949 to 1981, moved to Lake Eufaula for 14 years and then back to Seminole in 1991. Norma was employed at the Seminole hospital, as a Practical Nurse where she retired in 1963. She was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. Norma was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Gladys Bowling, Bernice Moore, Nola Custer, Faye McArmick, Pearl Oaks and brothers, Wesley Mullins who died at the age of 12 and Earl Young. Norma is survived by husband, William Dodson; three daughters, Deloris Jean Earnest of Seminole, Oklahoma, Phyllis Ann Elmore of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and adopted daughter, Jamie Elaine Hackler of McAlester, Oklahoma. Other survivors include her brothers, Bob Young of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Floyd Young of Wyle, Texas and 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Family will receive guest from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma.
