Norma Dean (Boyce) DeLonais

Norma Dean (Boyce) DeLonais , age 85 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2020 surrounded by her family at home.

A Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church near Konawa.  Fr. Joseph Reddy Duggempudi will officiate.  A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.  The grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, and Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry McGraw and Dewayne Gillum.  Viewing will began Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Viewing Monday will be from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Norma was born August 9, 1935 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Roy Burl Boyce and Clara Mae (Ward) Boyce.  She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953.  She married Jim DeLonais, Sr. October 8, 1953 in Winfield, Kansas and had four children.  Jim and Norma owned and managed the Georgetown store at Sacred Heart, Oklahoma in the 1960's.  She started Norma DeLonais & Associates with her children, and she worked as a Petroleum Landman for several oil and gas companies for twenty-four years.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Konawa.  Norma loved reading, dancing, and traveling, but most of all, she loved being with her family.

She is survived by one son, Jim DeLonais, Jr. and wife, Cathy of Konawa; three daughters, Kathy Lowry of Konawa, Debbie Fallis of Ada, Oklahoma, and Toni Elkins and husband, David of Ada; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Jesse, Melissa Griffin, Jason Lowry, Renee Conley, Jeremy Fallis, Michael Elkins, Mark Elkins, Matthew Elkins, Ashley Frye, Alicia Bird, and Trey DeLonais; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Clara Boyce; her husband, Jim DeLonais, Sr.; five brothers, Burl Boyce, Don Boyce, Bill Boyce, Dewayne Boyce, and J. L. Boyce.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Konawa Cemetery Fund.
