Nora Bear Lefthand

Nora Bear Lefthand, 72, lifelong Seminole resident died, Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Nora was born May 10, 1940 in Seminole to Porter and Venis (Edward) Bear. Nora grew up in the Little community and attended and graduated from Prairie Valley High Scholl west of Little. She was a longtime cook at the former Seminole Municipal Hospital and was a bi-lingual teacher at Prairie Valley School. Nora loved watching Thunder Basketball and Oklahoma State University Football, cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Nora is survived by two sons Michael Lance Bear and Sean L. Lefthand both of Seminole, Oklahoma; two brothers Ron Bear of Seminole, Oklahoma and Porter Bear, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma; a sister Dora Haney of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ryan Bear, Sheena Bear,Eric Lefthand, Dustin Lefthand, Zachary Lefthand,  Kayton Lefthand, Carmyn Lefthand,  Ayden Bear and Joe Duello. Wake services will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel and Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
