Nora Isaacs

Nora Alice (Muncrief) Isaacs, longtime Konawa area resident, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Ballard Nursing Center in Ada at the age of 85 years.rnrnShe was born October 31, 1921 in Byng, OK to Robert and Ellen Muncrief.rnrnShe attended Byng Schools and was a member of the women's high school basketball team. That team was well known in the late 1930's for winning 98 games in a row.rnrnNora married Beecher Samuel Isaacs on August 8, 1942 in Konawa and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2001.rnrnShe was a loving homemaker and a member of Grace Community Church.rnrnShe is survived by four sons, Gary Isaacs and his wife Susi of Konawa, Aaron Isaacs and his wife Debbie of Colorado City, CO, David Isaacs and his wife Janet of Pima, AZ and Drew Isaacs and his wife Phyllis of Konawa; rnrntwo sisters, Laverne Penberthy of Grand Junction, CO and Margie Marshall of Kansas City, MO; rnrn11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.rnrnShe was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and two sisters. rnrnFuneral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa with Rev. Drew A. Isaacs and Rev. Alan Isaacs, officiating.rnServing as casket bearers will be Alan, Nathan, Jonathan, Micah, Seth and Justin Isaacs. Honorary bearers will be Cristy Wood, Sherri Isaacs, Marci Isaacs and Tracy Isaacs.rnInterment will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
