Nola Faye (Maloy) Westphal, 86 year-old, longtime Seminole County resident went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Seminole Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born August 21, 1922 in Wolf, Oklahoma to parents Gradon Austin Maloy and Iva Mae (Edgeman) Maloy. Nola married Richard O. “Dick” Westphal on September 9, 1945 in Long Beach, California.  They moved to Seminole County 60 years ago and are members of the Wolf Baptist Church. Nola was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 64 years, Richard “Dick” Westphal of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Kay Westphal of Seminole, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Palmer of Ada, Oklahoma, Paula and Tom Briggs of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Patricia and Mike Griffin of Wolf, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Scott and his wife Roma Jackson, Cherie and her husband Chris Hobbs, Angela and her husband Roger Mabon, Tavis and his wife Jennifer Westphal, Brent and his wife Feliza Griffin, Michael Palmer, Chad and his wife Misty Kneeland, Cassidy and her husband Shane Ringels and David and his wife Lindsey Griffin; eleven great grandchildren, Kala Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, Jacob Griffin, Camden Griffin, Grady Westphal, Grant Westphal, Ian Mabon, Andrew Mabon, Landon Ringels, Madeline Kneeland and Austin Palmer; and one great-great-grandchild, Layhauna Love. Nola is preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, G.A. Maloy and Jim Maloy. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Ray Wade will officiate the service and interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: James Scott Jackson, Tavis Lynn Westphal, M. Brent Griffin, Michael Dewayne Palmer, Chad Kent Kneeland and David Lee Griffin. Honorary Bearers will be: Tyler Devon Hobbs, Christopher Ray Hobbs, Michael Shane Ringels and Roger Mabon. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home – Seminole, Oklahoma.
