Noah Jefferson Phillips, Jr., 91 Noah Jefferson Phillips, Jr., Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at the age of 91 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Noah was born October 16, 1921 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Noah Jefferson Phillips, Sr. and Una (Woods) Phillips. Noah graduated from Varnum High School, attended Oklahoma State University and Cal Tech. He was of the Protestant faith being a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Noah served in the United States Navy, a business man, cattleman and worked in the oil production. Noah married Isla Mae Hennington Phillips on August 22, 1941 in Ada, Oklahoma. Noah is survived by his wife of 72 years, Isla Mae Phillips; one son, Noah Jefferson (Jay) Phillips, 3rd and his  wife Laura Phillips; one brother, Don Phillips and his wife Juanita Phillips of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; one sister, Nellita Molloy of Seminole, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Connie (Phillips) King and her husband Donny King, Kerry Causey and his wife Lynn Causey, Kevin Causey, Debbie Causey and Deanna (Causey) Morrison and her husband Jerry Morrison; 12 great grandchildren, Austin King, Darah King, Matthew Causey and his wife Nicole Causey, Mackenzie (Causey) Barrett and her husband Micah Barrett, Cody Causey, Jordan Kerr, Jay Randal (Boomer) Pierce, Caden Pierce, Josh Causey, Nick Causey, Jerry Ray Morrison, Ryan Morrison; two great great grandchildren, Treyson Kerr and Malacli Barrett; two nieces Janice Hooser of Pennsylvania, Judy Phillips of Seminole, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, B.J. Hennington of Birmingham, Alabama; nephews and nieces, Pat Molloy of Seminole, Oklahoma, Terry Don Phillips, Casey Phillips of Seminole, Oklahoma, Linda Crumbliss and by very special friends, Shannon Duchanne, Melvin and Jasmine Moran. Noah was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; two brothers, Roy and Evell Phillips and one grandson, Jay Carl Phillips. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sanford Griggs officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Kerry Causey, Donny King, Austin King, Jerry Morrison Pete Amos and Boomer Pierce. Honorary bearers are: Melvin Moran, Cecil Sullivan, Don Phillips, B.J. Hennington and Pat Malloy. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
