Nettie Louise (Armstrong) Moreland

Nettie Louise (Armstrong) Moreland, age 71 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her home. Nettie was born on August 27, 1943 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Hobart Armstrong and Irene (Coker) Armstrong.  She graduated from Asher High School in 1961.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Asher and was baptized on July 3, 1955.  Nettie loved sewing, reading, and working puzzle books; but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Larry Bruno of Asher, Oklahoma; three daughters, LaDonna Baird of Asher, Oklahoma, Lisa Bruno of Asher, Oklahoma, and Mary Davis and husband, Ty of Norman, Oklahoma; one brother, Frank Armstrong of Konawa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Edna Odell of Asher, Oklahoma, Katie Breeden of Ada, Oklahoma, and Vesta Mauch of San Bernardino, California; and seven grandchildren, Brian Bruno, Michael Baird, Ian Bruno, Eric Bruno, Maddox Davis, Brock Davis, and Adley Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Irene Armstrong; one daughter, Deborah Bruno; one son, Johnny Hudgins, Jr.; three brothers, Danny, Robert, and Bill Armstrong; two sisters, Betty Burgess, and Mary Ward; and two grandsons, Jody Bruno and Jimmy Baird. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Rev. Bobby Hernandez, Pastor of Redeeming Grace Church of McAlester, Oklahoma will officiate, and pallbearers are Travis Odell, Larry Bruno, Bobby Armstrong, Ronnie Odell, Hobart Armstrong, and Darrell Armstrong.  Honorary pallbearers are Steve Anderson and Brandon Sexton.
