Nettie Allen

Nettie Marie (Cross) Allen, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Friday, October 26, 2007 at the age of 93 in Seminole. She was born September 27, 1914 at Muldrow, Oklahoma to parents Zachary Taylor and Sarah Ann (Watts) Cross. rnrnNettie married William ?Clyde? Allen on July 31, 1937 in Welty, Oklahoma and they later moved to the Seminole area from Welty, over 60 years ago.rnrnNettie was a devout mother and housewife she also was of the Baptist faith.rnrnNettie is survived by four sons, William "Joe" Allen of Chesapeake, Virginia, "Jerry" Clyde Allen of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, "Neal" Allen Southern, Jr. of Lake Butler, Florida and Frankie ?Joe? Allen of Seminole County, Oklahoma. Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie "Charlene" Welliver of the home and Jean and her husband Jerry Holland of Earlsboro, Oklahoma.rnrn18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildern also survive her.rnrnNettie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Allen who died January 17, 1993, one son Jackie Ray Allen who died in 1954 and by four sisters: Thelma Allen, Verley Hamilton, Floy Davenport and Grace Rice.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2007 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Rev.
