Former longtime Seminole resident Nellie McDaniel passed away on February 25, 2007 in Everett, Washington at the age of 95. rn rnShe was born on December 6, 1911 in Wyatt, Missouri to Thomas Bryan and Etta Nellie (McElroy) Carey.rnrnShe was a Nanny for the David Boren Family for many years as well as other families in the Seminole and Shawnee area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma.rn rnShe married her husband of 57 years Lowell E. McDaniel in Sapulpa, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on April 15, 1986. Her son, L.E. McDaniel, one brother, two sisters, one granddaughter and two nephews, also precede her in death.rn rnHer son and daughter-in-law survive her: Mike and Barbara McDaniel of Bothell, Washington, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. rn rnIn lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Nellie to Providence Hospice and Homecare of Snohomish County, 2731 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 500, Everett, Washington 98201.rn rnFuneral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. A reception will be held following the service at Omalee?s, 206 N. Main in Seminole.
