Ida “Nell” (Timmons) Spencer, 76 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born September 28, 1942 in Fittstown, Oklahoma to parents Lloyd James Timmons and Minnie Ruth (Cobble) Timmons.  Nell grew up in Seminole graduating from Seminole High School in 1960. She worked at Big Yank Clothing Factory in Wewoka, Oklahoma for several years where she met Sidney Gene “Sid” Spencer, Sr. they married June 26, 1975 in Ada, Oklahoma. Nell later worked as a sales representative for Tayloe Paper Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Nell and her husband Sid bought the historic Masonic building on east Broadway in Seminole where the owned and operated “Spencer’s Thrift Shop” for many years and opened a restaurant, “The Country Cottage” on the second floor of the building where they would host several events. Nell loved flowers, antiques and most of all loved her family. Nell leaves to cherish her many memories her husband of 44 years, Sidney Gene “Sid” Spencer, Sr. of the home; three sons, Terry Edgell and his wife Carol of Seminole, Oklahoma, Randy Edgell of Seminole, Oklahoma, Mark Wayne “Welby” Spencer of Rowlett, Texas; two daughters, Stacey Bizzell and her husband John of McLoud, Oklahoma, Kimberly DeAnn Spencer of Bixby, Oklahoma; one brother, Phil Timmons of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Latricia Houck of Seminole, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren, Corrie Caudle, Harlan Edgell, Josie Soots, Kendra Edgell, Jenifer Lankford, Justin Lankford, Chad Ritter, Casey Maa, Colton Demoss, Caitlyn Spencer, Megan Woodfork, Cydn�" Spencer, Taylor Spencer, Austin Bizzell; 9 great-grandchildren, Rhyella Stanfill, Kolby Quinalty, Caden Madden, Logan Demoss, Cade Demoss, Aleia Padgett, Steven Ritter, Christina Woodfork, Addie Ritter Martin; and a host of other family and dear friends. Nell was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Minnie Timmons, by one son Sidney Gene Spencer, Jr. who died in 1996, by one grandson Chris Ritter, by two brothers Bobby and his wife Lucille Timmons, Gerald and his wife Judy Timmons, by one sister-in-law Janice Timmons, by two sisters Joyce and her husband Charley Lackey, Christine and her husband Harold Easley, and by one brother-in-law Raymond Houck. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with pastors James Jackson and Jeff Nance officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole on Hwy. 99. Serving as casket bearers are: Terry Edgell, Randy Edgell, Mark Spencer, Harlan Edgell, Ricky Timmons and Greg Densmore. Honorary casket bearers are Ronnie Timmons, Wayne Timmons and Phil Timmons.
